Inaugural Race Night at the New Facility

Empty foam-tile RC track laid out at HUR's new facility

HUR raced its first session at the new location on July 4, with the 1/128 scale on-road series taking the honors of breaking in the new track.

The track record didn't last long. Gregory Parkin set the pace early with a 7.983 second lap, then came back later in the night to beat his own time with a 7.361 second lap, running an MR03 chassis with an XSpeed 6T motor.

Between heats, racers were building, tuning, and cleaning cars at the pit tables, the same build-first culture that defines every HUR session regardless of venue. More photos from the night are in the gallery.
